While the chat is active, you will see a Pencil icon beside the chat name. Click on it, and a text box will appear with the current name of the conversation.

The conversation is shared anonymously by default, but you can include your username/email. To do this, select the Share your name option from the 3-dot menu before copying the link.
Once you’ve shared a conversation, you might want to view or delete the shared link. To do this, go to the ChatGPT sidebar, click on the ellipsis menu next to your account email, and select Settings from the options.
On the settings popup, click on Data controls and press the Manage button beside Shared links.
Here, you’ll find a list of all your shared conversations and the date they were shared. To view a shared link, click on it, and it will open in a new tab.
And if you want to delete the shared link, click on the Trash bin icon next to it.
Please note that deleting a shared link will not delete the actual conversation from your ChatGPT account. It will only prevent others from accessing the conversation through the shared link. You can also view the conversation by clicking the message icon next to the link.
How to Export Your ChatGPT Conversations?
Exporting your ChatGPT conversations allows you to save and archive them for future use. This is especially useful for researchers, writers, or anyone needing to revisit the conversation later. Or for someone who wants to delete their ChatGPT account but would also like to keep a record of their conversations.
To export conversations, on the ChatGPT sidebar, click on the Ellipsis menu next to your account email and select Settings from the options.
On the settings popup, click on Data controls, then press the Export button beside Export data.
Finally, confirm export by pressing the Confirm Export button.
You will receive your exported data via email, which will be in a downloadable Zip format. The export zip file will include all your conversations and account details, which you can access by unzipping/extracting the file on your computer.
Please note that the export process may take some time, depending on the size of your data. You will be notified via email once the process is complete; after that, you will have 24 hours to download the file before the link expires for security reasons.
How to Delete a ChatGPT Conversation?
Sometimes, you might want to delete a conversation from your ChatGPT account. This could be because the conversation is irrelevant, or you want to declutter your conversation list.
To delete a conversation, open the chat you want to delete, and press the Bin icon next to its name.
Then confirm the deletion by clicking on the checkmark that appears.

This will delete all your conversations from ChatGPT. Alternatively, you can also stop ChatGPT from using your Data for training their AI Model after deleting all your chats.

ChatGPT recently launched its app on Android and iOS; if you haven’t already, you can download and install it on your phone. Regardless of the platform, the process to rename, share, export, and delete chats is pretty much the same as on the web version of ChatGPT.
