- Then on the popup select the duration for which you want to pause the notifications. You can choose from 15 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, or 8 hours.
Now your Threads app notifications will be paused for the duration you selected. After this period, you will start receiving notifications again. This feature is handy when you need a temporary break from the constant barrage of notifications.
How to permanently Disable notifications on Threads app?
Threads app offers a granule control over its app notifications. Similar to Instagram, you can either disable all sorts of notifications or choose to disable specific ones. How to Mute notifications from a specific Thread or Post on Threads app?
As of now, you cannot mute notifications from a specific thread or post on Threads. However, you can mute someone’s Threads account, if you find the notifications from a specific account to be too distracting.
Simply, tap on the three-dot menu on the thread or post from the account that you wish to mute and select Mute from the menu.
Doing so will not only stop all notifications from that account, but it will also prevent their posts from showing up in your feed. While this is not a perfect solution, it can significantly reduce the number of notifications you receive from Threads from a particular account.
Remember, muting an account will not unfollow them or block them, it will also stop their content from appearing in your feed. If you wish to see their content again, you will need to manually unmute the account.
